The best preparation for a business-coaching onboarding call is a clear picture of your starting point. You do not need a presentation. You need accurate facts, examples of your work and a useful question.
This lets the conversation focus on the next decision instead of spending most of the session reconstructing what you currently do.
Describe the service you sell now
Write down who you coach, what support they receive, how you charge and how many clients you serve. If the offer is still an idea, label it as an idea. Do not turn an assumption into a fact to make the business look further along.
Bring the current page, message or document you use to explain the service. The words prospects actually see are more useful than a new description created for the call.
Show the customer journey
Explain how someone first hears about you and what happens next. Include enquiries, conversations, calls, payment and onboarding. Mark any step you are not tracking.
If you have numbers, include the period they cover and where they came from. If you do not, say so. A simple honest baseline is a better starting point than a guessed conversion rate.
Bring a real example of the obstacle
"Marketing is not working" is broad. "People ask about coaching, then stop replying after this message" gives your coach something specific to inspect.
Remove unnecessary personal details before sharing a client conversation. Include enough context to understand the decision and what you have already tried.
Agree the first deliverable
End the call knowing what you will make, when you will work on it and how you will request feedback. Confirm which support channel to use for different questions.
Keep a short decision record. A useful note states the problem, the agreed action and the evidence you will bring back. It prevents you from collecting several conflicting opinions without testing any of them.
If you are still exploring Propane rather than preparing for an agreed onboarding call, start with the free training. It gives you the context to decide whether the approach matches the business you want to build.
